Thai Iced Coffee: THM “FP” with “S” option

My husband surprised me with Chinese food a few weeks ago and of course, he had to bring me my lifeblood..iced coffee. This iced coffee was unique in that it was half tea, half coffee. It was sweet with some spice to it. Obviously, it was sugar-filled but I’m not about to turn down an impromptu date night with my cutie over something small!

I want to drink this coffee more than just occasionally, so I decided to Trim Healthy Mama-fy it! This coffee is a THM “FP” with an “S” option depending on your mood.

I decided to use oolong tea in place of regular chai and add in some metabolism boosting spices and MCT oil. This is super simple to whip up and it’s unique flavor will make your taste buds burst!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of chilled coffee
  • 1 cup of chilled oolong tea
  • 1 t. MCT oil
  • 1/8 t. Cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 t. Ground ginger
  • 1/2 t. Cinnamon
  • 2 T. Super Sweet Blend or your favorite on plan sweetener
  • 1/4 C. Almond Milk
Blend until smooth. If you’d like a creamier drink, add 2 T. half and half or cream to make a decadent “S” drink.

I hope you enjoy this unique drink!

You can use coconut oil or just omit that ingredient. 🙂

Just wondering if this could be an all day sipper if you use the fp one?

Hi Amber! I would say it could. Just be careful if you’re sensitive to caffeine! 🙂

Edit: Wow, this drink sure has a kick! I wasn’t expecting it, but I really like it. Thanks for the recipe! I used Monk Sugar (from monk fruit) as I don’t have easy access to stevia here in Asia. The result is quite tasty.

Yes, it does have a kick! 🙂 I’m so glad you like it, Story!
