How To Keep Your Sunday Attitude All Week Long

June 26, 2015 by Cate H

Wish it was Sunday? 🙂  I know I do. Nothing is better than having a good relaxing day with family. Add in a great church service and I am one happy Mama!

My attitude tends to soar when my soul is fed. I’m refreshed, happy, ready to take on whatever the world throws my way..Then I wake up and it’s Monday. Cue reality!

Attitude goes from ten to three in zero point two seconds.

The thing I need to realize is that Church doesn’t end just because it’s not Sunday. My spiritual growth isn’t dependent on one day a week. This week, let’s vow to feed our souls like its Revival Service Sunday.. Every. Single. Day.

God isn’t choosy about where He shows up. He can be just as present in a story read to your little one than in a beautiful steeple. He’s just as much a part of your life when you’re listening to some uplifting music as when you’re worshiping at the altar. I think that one of the things that would help me most is if I took a vow to make every day Sunday in my heart and home. I think that just taking that little bit of extra time to intentionally choose something higher would make all the difference in my life. Who’s with me?

This Week I Choose To:

  •  Listen to a good sermon/podcast when I have downtime
  • Have a daily quiet time
  • Play worship music while doing those oh so fun chores
  • Memorize a verse during my commute
  • Read a good, uplifting fiction book.
We choose daily how much of God that we want. Go hard after Him this week.

Thanks for the encouragement. Lately I haven't even been going to church {its 30 minutes away and we can listen and watch on the live stream}… I need to get back into going and implement some of these tips 🙂
