No One Ever Tells..

Two years ago today, God and I entered into the biggest covenant of all time. Marriage.

My Mom walked me down the aisle, giving me away to the biggest adventure of my life. I wore a Princess tiara, of course. My Mom and I were both risking a lot that day. More than anyone will ever know.
The Joy of The Lord was clearly present in our ceremony. Because marriage in all it’s imperfections..is truly one of the best gifts He gives us. No one ever tells you that marriage is so much more than what Hollywood portrays. It requires faith, love, and making a conscious choice to Love like He does.. Every. Single. Day.
No one ever tells you that those marriage vows you commit to, can sometimes all be fulfilled within a course of two years. Sickness and health. Richer or poorer. Better or worse.

No one ever tells you that the first time you come before God together as one is only the start of the most necessary action you will ever take in your marriage. Because ultimately, God is the only perfect example of Love and Grace.

Lastly, no one ever tells that this boy that you are committing your heart to will change your life in so many ways. That together, you will overcome so much, and become so many things. That you will have dreams beyond what you ever had before. That you will make a life together and that life is going to complete both of you and heal your hearts when you thought you wouldn’t ever be whole again.
So to my sweet Husband. Happy Anniversary. I love you more than I did two years ago if that is even possible. Thanks for making me a Mommy and Wife. You truly have helped me fulfill my life’s purpose.
