If you’re looking for a way to entertain your little one for a few minutes..I have a solution! I came up with this recipe for edible play-dough after reviewing multiple recipes that contained loads of sugar. While this definitely isn’t uber healthy, it’s a great option for a simple playdough that isn’t AS sugary as the rest. Since it’s chocolate flavored, this is a great Valentine’s Day gift for the little one in your life!
To Make:
Combine
- 1/2 C. Corn Syrup
- 1/4 C. Margarine
- 3 T. Cocoa Powder
- 1 1/2 C. Powdered Sugar
- 2 C. Flour (Plus extra to customize texture)
In a large mixing bowl. I mix this using my Kitchenaid! For plain playdough, you can omit the cocoa powder and add whatever food coloring you like. You can also play around with different extracts to create your own custom playdough. This keeps in the fridge for 2 weeks. Leave it on the counter before you play with it so it softens up!
