It’s almost Mother’s Day and I thought I’d put together a gift guide for you! Now, when your husband gives you spending money or your kids ask what you want, you can refer back to this. 🙂
Many of these ideas are things that I’ve used myself and have experience with, so I will give a little more detail and my honest review where I can. Some of the items on this list were given to me for my consideration to include them in this article. All opinions of the products are my own! Other things are on my own wish-list. A girl can dream, right?
The She Reads Truth Bible is my top pick for women’s Bibles. It is gorgeous, there are lovely prints inside, a few devotionals from the She Reads Truth team, reading plans, TWO ribbons to mark where you are, and best of all? It’s designed to bring attention to the Scripture. I really love the CSB version (shown below!).
A Memory a Day for Moms is my favorite journal. Each day, you’re guided by the prompts to write something very short about your kids. I didn’t do a great job with baby books, so this may just be my penance. 🙂 This book spans 5 years and I just do this book as part of my daily devotional time.
This is my top recommended book of 2018 so far. WomanCode is a holistic approach to healing your hormones. It centers around food! I love this book because it taught me so much about my cycle. There are helpful lists showing you what foods help medicate your body during each cycle phase and what things to focus on each week. The author is so easy to understand, yet you get knowledge-bombed with each chapter! I highly recommend it.
If I could recommend ONE thing to improve your health (besides THM!) it would be essential oils. I know, I know. Some of you are on the fence about them. But they replace so many things and they are extremely good for eradicating toxins from your environment. I’d recommend getting a starter kit from Young Living because you get a LOT of great products AND a discount on any future products you purchase. I’m not an affiliate, but I do have the BEST “oil dealer”. You can learn more about essential oils by clicking here.
If you’re looking for a good book to get you started in your essential oil journey, check out this one! It’s my favorite and it’s written by a Dr. who doesn’t even sell them!
Good exercise programs are hard to find, but T-Tapp is one that is easy to do and highly effective. I was so happy to get an opportunity to review T-Tapp’s program and skin brushing system. The instructor is so upbeat and I had so much fun working out with her. I could feel my muscles burning and being targeted without a lot of exertion! Crazy! T-Tapp’s skin brushing system is so easy to use. The instructor has a great video that tells you JUST how to do it and I don’t think my skin has ever felt softer. I like knowing that I’m releasing my skin’s toxins and increasing elasticity. Happy Mother’s Day to me and adios stretch marks! 🙂 T-Tapp also has a great collection of online videos which I am also LOVING! My kids can have Peppa Pig and I can workout using my laptop. Learn more about T-Tapp here.
Okay, so I had to sneak a little gift for you in here. One of my semi-crunchy lifesavers is Grove Collaborative. I love natural cleaning products, but I just don’t have the time to whip up my own. Grove Co has SUPER inexpensive natural cleaning products. I can set up a monthly order and the best part? I can cancel that monthly order whenever I need to. ONLINE. Without talking on the phone! It’s an introverted Mama’s dream. What’s your gift, you ask? If you sign up for Grove Co. under my referral link, you get a FREE 5-piece Mrs. Meyer’s cleaning product set with your first purchase. I love Mrs. Meyer’s and I know Grove Co. will be such a lifesaver for you too! Click here to learn more and get your gift!
I highly recommend Trim Healthy Mama’s “Trim Healthy Table” cookbook. This cookbook is no-special-ingredient friendly and my family has LOVED all the yummy casseroles, muffins, shakes and cookies. Plus, they’re eating healthy and no one knows! Win-Win! 🙂
Rachel Hollis’s new cookbook is also pretty amazing. I recently was able to look over a copy from her publisher and I was so impressed with how easy her recipes are. This cookbook is so bright and colorful, it’s very “The Chic Site” if you follow Rachel’s blog you’ll know what I mean. I loved getting an inside glimpse at Rachel’s family. Her kids are so cute!
On my wish list is a new blender. Mine has conked out and I’m currently using a food processor as a blender. I have my eye on this Ninja blender, which includes a spiralizer! 🙂 Something about that individual smoothie cup just gets me..I’m swooning.
I really love my cast-iron cookware. I used to replace pans all the time, but now I just reseason my cast-iron and I’m good to go. I didn’t find there to be too much of a learning curve when starting to use them. I use Lodge cast-iron because it’s affordable. I have no complaints!
What’s on your wish list this year?
