Honest confession: I’m really great at pregnancy journals. I have little books for each of my sons detailing what I felt when carrying them, what I ate, craved, etc. Then, they were born and life got busy and sadly, I refer to Facebook’s “On this day” feature for memories. It’s a lot easier to keep track of things before someone is walking and into everything!
I recently got to review the “A Memory a Day for Moms” book, which is a sentimental book I can handle. This book covers a span of 5 years and you answer the same questions each year. The questions are really insightful! I’ve answered things like, “What does your child want to be when they grow up?” and “What’s your favorite part of Easter?” The questions are short, which is perfect for a Mama who might not have a lot of spare time. I fill out my daily question during my quiet time each morning.
Each page includes a verse and a prayer, which provides a lot of perspective! The book itself is beautiful and a great reminder to slow down and enjoy this present season. I love seeing how my children (and myself) have changed over the years and this tool is made for reflection! The days may be long right now, but someday, I know I’m going to want a record of our life during this season.
This book would make a beautiful gift for a new Mama or even a Mama of a school-age child. If your goal is to relish motherhood and to pursue contentment in this season, grab a copy for yourself!
