A lot of you have been asking how I make THM work for my family. I create a lot of super simple meals that are easily able to be loved by even the pickiest eater. I’m trying to incorporate a few new recipes into my rotation to get my family trying new things.
I created this menu based off of my actual menu plan/shopping list for the week. The actual list looks like chicken scratch, so I decided to type everything out!
Here’s what my family will be eating this week:
Breakfasts:
S- We’re going to be making cheese and bacon omelets. This is an easy meal that is Hubby/Tot-friendly. This is another “S”.
M- I’ll be making myself a Fat-Stripping Frappa. (FP)
T- I’m having Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal topped with a little Oikos Triple Zero Yogurt. This is an “E” breakfast.
W- I’ll be feasting on a Chocolate Chip Muffin from the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook
T- I’m making an “S” Frosted Cinnamon Muffin from the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook
F- This is grocery day and I will be making the Apple Cinnamon Muffin from the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook
Lunches:
T- Joseph’s Pita Pizza made with homemade tomato sauce, Italian cheese and pepperoni. This is an “S”.
W- FSF (FP)
T- I’m making a Joseph’s Pita Sammy that will end up being an “S”.
F- Grocery day, so I don’t have lunch planned yet!
Dinners:
T- Chicken Fajitas on regular tortillas for Hubby/Little Man and a low-carb tortilla for me. I’m making rice and beans to go as a side dish. The fajitas will be topped with salsa and sour cream, so this is an XO meal. I like to add one of those a week as I’m still exclusively nursing.
W- Pizza using the crust from p. 211 in the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook
T- Chicken Alfredo Lasagna made with Dreamfields noodles, alfredo sauce from the store and Italian cheese. We have pasta night one night a week at my house, to keep things real! 🙂 (S)
F- Lazy Day Enchiladas. (S)
As you can see, everything is super simple and super family-friendly. This menu is sure to be a crowd-pleaser!
love your simple menu's. but what is a n fsf. thanks for posting the menus.
Hi, Brunella!
A FSF is a Fat-Stripping-Frappe. I should've clarified that! 🙂
wouldn’t the fat in the salmon make it an S?
Hey Angie!
The salmon is actually a FP so it takes on fuel type you pair it with. Just look to keep it under 5g of fat, which is pretty easy. 😉
The tsp of butter keeps it in “E” mode!
Oh thank you so much for these!!!!!! I need the simplest and easy route. You just won’t realize the amount of people you are helping with this gift!!!! Keep them coming ?
Awh! Thank you so much for your encouragement Miss Cyndie! 🙂 If I don’t keep it simple and easy, it doesn’t work for me. Have a wonderful day!
I just ordered my THM cookbook. I have a lot of mouths to feed, so I am hoping this works well for me and hubby.
Wonderful! Many of the recipes in the cookbook are made for large families as Pearl and Serene are both Mamas of many. 🙂 I grew up in a large family, so I understand what you’re saying! 🙂
