I have a weakness for pretty coffee drinks. The other day, I was really craving one of those icy, creamy, frappuccinos from McDonalds. Living in a super-small town that’s 20 minutes away from any sort of eating place has it’s healthy eating perks at times. It also inspires some pretty awesome, money-saving treats. I made this frappuccino with the bottled ones from the Starbucks line in mind. I added an icy twist that makes it even better, in my opinion. This recipe makes one big cup of caffeinated goodness! This recipe is also a Fuel Pull, so it’s the perfect afternoon pick-me-up!
Am I missing the ingredient with the coffee?
Hey, Nancy!
The first ingredient listed is coffee ice cubes. I use those instead of coffee and ice because it gives it a stronger coffee flavor. π
What brand of caramel extract do you use? Found one, but it had propylene glycol as the main ingredient. Not crazy about drinking antifreeze. π
I use Watkins, which does have that ingredient. π I’m looking for a better option that’s cost effective and readily available in my area. If you find one, let me know! π
If I wanted to make this into a meal and still keep it a FP can I just add the whole scoop of protein powder? I use the Pristine Protein Powder.
Yes! π
Ooh just made this for a snack. Yum, thanks and I linked to a pin in my THM weekly roundup.
I’m glad you like it! π Thank you for sharing <3
This is SO YUMMY! Ive been having a hard time separating fuels because I have to have iced coffee with a splash of heavy cream in it. I don’t use any sweetener, but I’m not a fan of “E” coffee. I actually love this one! Yummy fuel pull coffee = game changer!
MMMMMM……This hit the spot this morning!! I added a full scoop of protein powder since I didn’t have enough protein with my meal. OMG! Better than Starbucks!!
yay! I’m so glad you liked it Wendi! π <3
How would decaf coffee work in this recipe?
The exact same! π
Which sweetener do you use? Super Sweet or Gentle Sweet? Thanks!
In this recipe, I use Super Sweet! π
What if you donβt have the coffee Cubes, but have cold press coffee? How much would I use and how much ice?:)
Hey, Kari!
Hmm..I would say about 2-3 cups of coffee to one cup of ice cubes! π Add more coffee if it’s too weak for you!
