Working from home sounds great, right? More time with your family, less commute, more flexibility..but how on earth do you make that notion your reality?
First things first, you put yourself out there. Research some great companies, and apply, apply, apply! I probably put out about 20 apps when I started searching. I was so happy I did that because I had options to choose from. A website that I really love is Real Ways To Earn Money Online because you not only get stellar job listings every couple of days, but you can also search up reviews on different companies. The reviews are 100% honest, unlike the ones you read from disgruntled employees. The site also gives you links to apply for jobs, so you have everything you need in one spot.
This is a biggie, you guys. Whether you are applying to be a web search evaluator, freelancer, or customer service agent.. A good resume and cover letter makes a huge difference in the application process. I use a free site, Resumizer to create both of mine. Not only does this website completely make everything look professional, but it also gives you tips on how to make your forms look better. Love it.
The transition to being a WAHM is hard! Getting in the swing of things can be even rougher. Not only do you have to keep up with the daily duties, but you add work hours in there and things can get a bit craaazzzy. I have a great post about the system I like to follow to keep my house clean here. The best advice I can give is to not try to do it all. Seriously, you can’t. Most days my life goes as follows : Lots of work done, less housework. Or vice versa. Make sure your schedule works for you and isn’t just a copy of someone else’s.
Lastly, find your “tribe”. That group of people who support you. There are a lot of great forums out there for WAHM’s, with lovely ladies who are ever so helpful. A support system is great for those days where you are overwhelmed, you need career advice, or you just want to make some new friends.
Keep an eye out for more tips and tricks!
